are there separate mechanics for soaking non-lethal damage and fueling powers in 3.0? in long combats, i found that once somebody got tired, damage that would have knocked em out now would kill em deader than a doorstop. devitalization made death swift.

The fundamental damage mechanic, where Power is used to soak damage so that characters with relatively few hit points can (initially) survive some pretty serious blows, remains firmly at the core of V&V 3.0.

Unlike previous versions of V&V, characters will now find it relatively easy to acquire light body armor (like we see characters wearing in pretty much every superhero film these days). Furthermore, a few powers which used to be able to cause ridiculously high amounts of damage are being toned down a bit.
