Post The V&V Campaign at Gary Con

Okay, folks, it's gut check time. It's time for action. It's time to gear up for battle, or hang that cape up for good. It's time ... to commit.

How many of you are planning to attend Gary Con at the end of March in 2011? And are you definitely going to participate in the three day "An Entire V&V Campaign in One Long Weekend" event?

The event is approved and they need to know how many open slots will be left to advertise. So this is now the official sign up. Here's what you need to do:

1) Sign up only if you know you're coming. Do not sign up if you maybe might attend, or wish you could, or want to.

2) Sign up only if you realize this is a three day, all day each day, event. Yes, you will have scheduled free time during this thing, but for the most part you are committing to spend the entire Gary Con playing in this event.

3) Indicate if you are already registered for Gary Con. If more sign up than there are spaces for, priority will be given to those who are already registered.

4) Don't sign up if you are Jeff Dee or Jack Herman. No, I'm not banning you from the thing. Your parts are already reserved.

5) My thinking is to reserve six slots for this forum, so that four can be kept for the Gary Con people to fill. That seems fair. But we'll adjust as necessary.

6) One, two, three, go!

I'm in, so hold me a seat. Also, since I'm cheap, I'm looking for a non-smoker to share a room with.

I'll share a room with you, Dom. And yes, I'm going to be there as well. I've not registered yet, but plan to do so in the next few days.

V&V GM and player since 1982 (my current campaign is 22 years old); also run West End Games d6 Star Wars monthly, as well as the occasional The One Ring and Marvel Heroic Roleplaying game

Coll, I'll start looking for a hotel room in the area this weekend, and get back with you on the cost.

OK, according to the Gary Con website, the Lodge at Geneva Ridge has rooms for $79.00 a night, that sound reasonable to you?

OK, I'll start making arrangements for rooms after the new year. Once I book the room, I'll contact you, and give you all of the info. Also, I'm having a hell of a time getting my registration done. I've filled out all the info, and it said an email link would be sent to me, so far no luck, and it won't let me register under a different name, as it says my email is already in use. Any ideas? And lastly, while I'm all for gaming, I'm also going to want to eat and look around the con, so recommendations are welcome.

OK, I had to use a completely separate email account, but it FINALLY let me register. My badge name is DSumner.

I bought a membership a while ago.

What time does the event start on the first day?
