The guy who published it is Colin Longcore. I believe I have located him on Facebook; I have sent him a message.

Yes, thanks, Allen (and Dan, and whoever else helps towards this project!)

I too have to admit I haven't known much about this before.

Interestingly enough, I almost made a V&V fanzine myself (official, to boot) back in the mid 80's. I'd written to Scott Bizar and had the go-ahead. Even had lots of art (pictures Bill Willingham and Mike Grell had done of our characters) and started the layout. Alas, it never came to fruition (this was about the time that everything V&V stopped).

V&V GM and player since 1982 (my current campaign is 22 years old); also run West End Games d6 Star Wars monthly, as well as the occasional The One Ring and Marvel Heroic Roleplaying game

We have received permission from both Colin and Jeff, and so hopefully scanning will proceed before too long. What is going to be scanned is issue #1, and apparently there were more issues than that, so maybe we can unearth some more V&V treasures from antiquity (i.e. the 80's) someday :)

Does anyone have a clue as to how many issues were actually produced?

I have asked Colin about that but have not yet received a reply.

I'd like to add my name to the growing list of people who'd love to see this. Will it hosted online somewhere (ie the V&V Yahoo Group or The V&V Emporium) or just mailed out individually upon request?

Congratulations on your detective work :D

Now that we have permission, I think it would be cool/best (for the community at large) if we have it posted on a couple of different sites. The V&V Emporium should be a must, I would think.

This is great news. What a way to kick off the new edition.
