"I named this file Valiants 97, but I decided not to do a mock cover with it. There's just not enough room at the top for logos and such.

Since the Valiants are my twist on the Avengers, it's only fitting they should have an enemy on the order of Thanos. Imspired by Thanos's appearance at the end of The Avengers movie, and partly by Thanos's first encounter with the Avengers.

The wounded guy on the floor is the Wanderer. He's being healed by Fantasya, the demi-human sorceress, drawing on the two other magical Valiants, Thunderhead and Olympia. the Wanderer began life as a genetically engineered super-being known only as Subject 101. After battling Omega Unit and Thunderhead, he left Earth to find his destiny in the stars. During his sojourn, he encountered one of the Elder things, beings that are older than the known universe, who further empowered him as the guardian of the universe. It was then he adopted this costume and the name Wanderer.
Wanderer had never encountered anyone capable of harming him, until now.

The bad guy is Malus, first disciple of the Black Sun. His power is immense and his goal is the absolute subjugation of all sentient life in the universe under the dominion of the Black Sun."

"Before Ad Astra, there was another version of Galaxia. As originally conceived, she was an alien princess who crashed to Earth fleeing the invaders that had ravaged her world and killed most of her family. Along with her brother, Corona, she joined the Guardians.

In the modern version, Galaxia's people are refugees from Earth, one of the several lost races that fled Earth about 30,000 years ago. She was part of an expedition to Earth, looking for allies against an alien menace. Their ship was damaged and crashed to Earth, killing all but Galaxia and Corona.

The Guardians tracked the ship's descent and Wildstar, being faster than the others, is the first one the scene.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Oh, and as has so often happened with ideas I, or my friend Jeff came up with, my original idea for Galaxia's origin predates the debut of the New Teen Titans by several months, and back then, I didn't read any of the comics press, so I had no idea the Titans was even being revived until they showed up in DC Comics Presents.

I think they were tapping into my brain using remote viewers, or something."

Here are my two latest commissions by Joe.

The armored Russian Juggernaut Troll

Troll is one of Sentry's rouge's gallery. He's a physically handicapped Russian research scientist, with a major chip on his shoulder, who stole a suit battle armor from the Russian military.

Here's the villain Death Race, a former member of Dynasty.
Image

And here he is just before his death on the mock cover of Dynasty #24
Image

"Imagine you're the fastest living creature ever to live. You have always outrun your enemies, outlasted them, and lived to celebrate your victories.

But now, something new has entered your world. Something you can't outrun, can't outlast. An implacable enemy, as fast as you, a tireless and relentless hunter. This is your last race.

Their world has been targeted for harvesting by the interdimensional tyrant called Omnedon. First, the scouts came to assess the value, and you thought they'd been annihilated. Then the hunters arrived, Omnedon's cyborg super-predators, unleashed only on those worlds where super-human resistance is found.

Designed to adapt to their prey's strengths and overcome them, they have pacified a hundred Earths, opening them for harvesting.

-------------------------------------------------

Another mock-cover for Dynasty.

Deathrace was the team's speedster before they left their timeline. His daughter, Quickfire has taken his place, in recent years.

The hunter is based on the Fury, from Captain Britain. I've always thought the Fury was one of the creepiest things ever created in comics. Nice work, Alan Davis, giving me nightmares.

My hunter is built on an apex-predator from a timeline where dinosaurs never went extinct and a descendant of the velociraptor evolved intelligence. Omnedon saved a few when he realized how useful they might be with the right modifications."

Dom, when we start the campaign up ... I think first thing Rampart will need is a super-powered can opener for all those armored villains ;)

Iron Eagle is awesome Joe. Just oozes "I'm gonna rip you a new one" attitude.
